He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Groves and Wanda Hovland (Owens); his stepfather Eddie Hovland; and his brother Joe Groves Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Groves of Graham; his children, Trena Allen (Bobby) of Graham and Heath Groves (Jennifer) of Brock; his grandchildren, Eric Allen (Micah), Erin Allen-Freeman (Spenser), Tyler Groves and Clayton Groves; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Harper and Piper; and his nephews, Joe Groves, Jr. and Matt Groves. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
