Lou Jane Davis Obituary
Lou Jane Davis went to be with her Savior Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 86.
Lou Jane was born August 29, 1937 in Gorman to Gillespie Monroe and Violet McCoy Walker. She attended Cisco High School. She later attended Cisco Junior College, Tarleton State University and the University of North Texas, obtaining a Master's Degree.
She married Bob Qualls, and the couple had three children. She later married Jerry Davis, who preceded her in death March 5, 2020.
Lou Jane worked as a telephone operator, secretary at the Methodist Church, in the print shop at Cisco Jr. College, as a teacher's aid, teacher and librarian. She was a member of the Cisco Civic League, Abilene Gem and Mineral Club, and was involved in dinner theater plays and with the Hilltones singing group. She was a member of Wesley Methodist and the First United Methodist Church.
Lou Jane was fun-loving and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved music, reading and traveling.
She was preceded in death by per parents, her husband Jerry, and brothers Joe Ray Walker and James D. (Jimmy) Walker.
Survivors include her children, Sharla Qualls of Newcastle, Greg Qualls of Cisco, and Patrick Qualls and wife Kelly of Graham; grandsons Caleb Qualls and wife Allison of Austin, Jonah Qualls of College Station and Luke Qualls of Graham.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Cisco Methodist Church. Services will follow at 4:00 PM, with Reverend John Woodard officiating.
