He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maude Tucker and Pete Shumate; his wife Joyce Ellen Nunn; his sister Senna Winn of Red Springs; his children, Bryan Shumate (Shirley) of Voca and Linda Millican (Homer) of Odessa; his grandchildren, Shelly Willis, Ivan Williams, Rebecca Shumate, Jodi Hoffman and Angela Moore; and his great grandchildren, Jared, Matthew Willis, Hannah, Presley Williams, Jordan, Zachary Hoffman, Dennis and Aden Moore.
