He was predeceased by: his parents, Avis Nelson and Anna Nelson; his wife Melva Nelson; and his brother Walter Nelson. He is survived by: his daughters, Tanya (Clay Cowan) and Pam (Kerry Conatser); his grandchildren, Tyler Cowan, Garrett Cowan, Kassidy Conatser, Kaveri Conatser and Kenzlee Conatser; and his siblings, Ronnie Nelson, Gerald Nelson and Debbie (Stacy Bleeker). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
