She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Clinton Hedges and Lucy Grace Hedges (Nixon); and her husband Gordon Lancewell Burks. She is survived by: her children, Jackie Don Burks and Alice Elaine Burks; her grandchildren, Tricia Longley (Lance) of Lubbock, Rebecca Tindle (Michael) of Brownwood, Timothy Burks (Tanya) of Aiken, S. C., Lydia Trowbridge (Cody) of Brownwood, Elisabeth Huston (Travis) of McKinney, Charity Hoedebeck (Dwight) of Midland and Joan Karnes (Levi) of Brownwood; her great grandchildren, Cassandra, Conner, Jerry, Morgan, Katie, Alexandria, Lancewell, Brianna, Hunter, Cody Dewayne, Autumn, Addilynn and Lincoln; her great great grandchildren, Jacob, Payton, Nolan, Tate, Olivia and Ryder; her siblings, John Ruben Hedges, Lee Roy Hedges and Benjamin Vernon; her daughter-in-law Pearl Rebecca Burks (Sims); her grandson Freddy Wayne Carnahan; and her great grandchild Phillip Robert Trowbridge.
When the Covid outbreak occurred in March 2020, she was no longer able to attend, but always wanted everyone to know how much she loved and missed them.
