With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Burnette (Goodrich, Texas), born in Sheffield, Alabama, who passed away on September 26, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burnette and Natalie Burnette. He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell Burnette (Burnette); his grandson Davis Vaughn; his stepson Mark Vaughn (Tracy); his stepgranddaughter Shea Lewis; his daughter Michelle Burnette-Lozier (Keith); his grandchildren, Collin of Washington, Isaac of Washington, Bethany of Washington and Emily of Washington; his daughter Natalie Burnette White (Joe); his grandchildren, Corey of Ketchikan, Alaska, Janie of Ketchikan, Alaska, Claire of Ketchikan, Alaska, Boden of Ketchikan, Alaska and Cooper of Ketchikan, Alaska; his daughter Karen Burnette Howe (Eric); his grandchildren, Mallory of Rochester and Carter of Rochester; his son Thomas Kyle Burnette (Hope); and his grandchildren, Oxford of Ketchikan, Alaska and Emilee of Ketchikan, Alaska. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent in Mike's name to the Fisher House or Camp Hope.
