He was predeceased by: his parents, Asper Alewine and Matilda Alewine (Gregory); his former wife Cherry Alewine; his brothers, Arden, Leo and Aubrey Alewine; his nephews, Elton and Larry; and his niece Janet.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Gaytan of Good Springs; his children, Juan (Morena Gonzalez) of Nacogdoches, Carlos (Dasha Gonzalez) of Dallas, Angelica Gonzalez (Ramon Medina) of Tyler and Carolina Gonzalez (Marcos Bernal) of Henderson; his sisters, Zelda Mitchell of Henderson, Hazel Arnold of Troup and Edith Cain (Billy) of Henderson; his grandchildren, Dessy Gonzalez, Alfredo Guzman, Nadia Gonzalez, Adrian Gonzalez, Alonzo, Christian, Jasmine Medina, Camila, Marcos Jr. and Bruno Bernal; his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Gary, Dovena, Raymond, Rickey, Darlene, Yvonne, Alex and Danny; and his extended family, Kenny, Kay Berry, Randall, Beth Martin, Melinda Alewine and Eleanor Alewine.
