He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Ervin Gootee and Martha Elizabeth Gootee. He is survived by: his sister Joyce Montgomery (Melvin Montgomery) of Plano; his nephews, Scott Montgomery of Lewisville and Doug Montgomery of Kyle; and his great-niece Madison Montgomery.
