He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred William and Lena Reuter Berger; and his siblings, Allen Berger (Edna Mae), Baltus James Berger, Doris Liest Eichman and Marjorie Tater (Charlie).
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Berger (JoAnn), Richard Berger and Randall Berger (Trish); his grandchildren, Wayne Berger (Mariah) of Cuero, Keith Berger of Gonzales, Jessica Baldassari (Matthew) of Schertz, Michelle Berger Schoener of Victoria and Ashley Berger (Dominic Vega) of Meyersville; his brother Fred Alvis Berger (Marie); his sister-in-law Lillian Berger; his great grandchild Aaron Berger; and his friends, Pat Davis, Johnnie Hall, Ronald Holub, Ken Hedrick, Keith Schmidt and Pete Cenotti.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seydler-Hill Funeral Home (906 St Paul St, Gonzales, TX 78629). A rosary was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (417 N College St, Gonzales, TX 78629). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hermann Sons Cemetery (3393 US Hwy 90a E, Gonzales, TX 78629). A reception was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seydler-Hill Home (906 St Paul St, Gonzales, TX 78629).
