He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfathers, Walter Otis "Walt" Mansfield and Heavenly; his parents, Otis Mansfield and Iva Dugan Mansfield; his wife Rebecca Strickland Mansfield of Gonzales; his children, Tina Lopez (Leonard) of Yoakum, David Mansfield (Lisa) of Schroeder, Michael Mansfield of Cuero, Patrick Tucker (Sissy) of Luling, Bobby Joe Brown (Claudia) of San Antonio, Gerald Brown, Sr. (Ranee) of Corpus Christi and Troy Dale Mansfield (Amy) of Gonzales; and his sister Wilma Copeland. He was also cherished by 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
