He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Emily Glover and Olen Alex Malaer, Sr.; and his brother Roy Malaer. He is survived by: his children, Megan Layne Martinez (Francisco Hernandez) of Bryan, Vernon Ray "Bubba" Malaer, Jr. (Valarie) of Giddings and William Alex "Billy" Malaer (Kimberly) of Luling; his siblings, Patricia Govett of Seguin, Olen Malaer, Jr. (Margie) of Gonzales, Albert Malaer (Doris) of Port Lavaca and David Malaer (Margaret) of Gonzales; and his sister-in-law Linda Wulf Malaer of Waelder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
