He is survived by: his mother Sandra Carol Sanderson Benton of Gonzales; his daughters, Melissa Smith (Corey) of Angleton, Jennifer Benton of Brazoria and Alison Benton (John Nichols) of Brazoria; his siblings, Armenta Thick of Gonzales, Laura Adams of Gonzales, Walker Adams of Austin and Mystro Adams of Gonzales; and his grandchildren, Jacob Benton, Robert Nicholas Bernal, Chris Bernal, Tyler Murray, Delilah Bernal, Makenna Wasek and Zachery Benton (Pamela Shepherd) of Brazoria.
