He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Joe Janota and Albina Ella Stefka Janota; his brothers, Charlie and Clifton Janota; and his sisters-in-law, Pippen and Martha Janota.
He is survived by: his son Robert; his wife Peggy Marie Valis of Shiner; his children, Jocelyn Sexton, Haley Boney and Nicholas; his brother Clarence; and his sister-in-law Millie Janota. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
