He was predeceased by: his father Harlan Ray Resch; his grandparents, Ernest, Dean Elliott, Richard and Marie Resch; his brother-in-law John Wait; and his mother-in-law Barbara Carpenter Woods.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Resch of Gonzales; his children, Eric Oester (Ester Marie) of Amarillo and Angelica Sustaita; his grandson Logan Ray Sustaita of Gonzales; his mother Mary Ann Resch Fowler (Roy) of Dimmitt; his sisters, Debbie Wait of Dimmit and Deana Grissom (Billy) of Lubbock; his nephews, Bobby O'Neal (Andrea), Dave O'Neal (Chelsea) and Brandon Grissom; his niece Rebecca; and his siblings-in-law, Butch Woods (Vicki) of Mt. Carrol, Illinois and Robin Woods Smith of Valparaiso, Indiana. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends.
