He was predeceased by: his parents, Bohus Valenta and Rozena Grossman Valenta; his spouse Siava Tina Maaele; his son Larry Valenta; his siblings, Henrietta Zbranek (Laddie), Albina Lehman (Walter), Stella Mudd (Joe), Hattie McElfresh, Frank Valenta (Evelyn) and Charlie Valenta (Opal); his son-in-law Charles Kistler; and his granddaughters, Sierra Valenta and Lillian Iakopo.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann West of Gonzales, Rose Kistler of Gonzales, Tina Shannon (Clay) of Gonzales, Eva Iakopo of Carson California and Michael Iakopo of Gonzales. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great- great- grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
