With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Alma Walshak (Gonzales, Texas), who passed away on June 21, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Edna Buchholtz; her husband Douglas Walshak; and her half-siblings, Arthur Soefje (Sam), Glenn Woodfin, Robert Woodfin and Louise Woodfin Krug.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Walshak (Bubba Boehm), Mike Walshak (Kim Babik) and Mark Walshak (Jerrie) of Gonzales; her grandchildren, Shane Walshak (Stephanie) of Seguin, Jasen Walshak (Regina) of New Braunfels, Courtney Walshak Welfel (Rick) of Gonzales, Jaren Walshak (Jessica) of New Braunfels, Jalen Walshak of Gonzales and Jefry Walshak (Alyssa Johnston); her stepgrandchildren, Jarrid Boehm (Nicole) of Gonzales, Jennifer Boehm Gattuso (Anthony) of Georgetown and C. J. Babik (April) of Markham; her great grandchildren, Sawyer Walshak, Annabelle Walshak, Aiden Walshak, Avery Walshak, Jhett Welfel, Rhex Welfel, Colby Walshak, Landry Walshak, Slayden Boehm, Colsen Boehm, Karli Hill, Tripp Gattuso, Sciara Babik and Crissa Hamor; her half-sister Barbara Carter of Teague; and her sisters-in-law, Dora Soefje of Gonzales, Murlene Enke of Victoria, Pat Bianchi of Houston and Lorraine Walshak of Tyler.
