He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bivins and Katie Whiteside Bivins; his wife Laura Lee Wilson; and his son-in-law Sam Swierc. He is survived by: his children, Peggy Lyn Swierc of Floresville and David W. Bivins (Mona) of Gonzales; his sister Nelda Walls of Houston; and his grandchildren, Coleman Swierc (Jennifer), Nikki Pena (Jacob), Jerret Swierc, Ashley Brunston (Bryan), Crystal Gray (Tim) and Bailey Bozka (Landon). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
