It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herminia Castillo of Gonzales, Texas, who passed away on February 18, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Longoria and Emma Ruiz Longoria; and her brothers, Jose Longoria Jr., Serapio Longoria and John Longoria.
She is survived by: her children, Evett Ruiz (Mario) of San Antonio, Joann De La Garza of San Antonio, Ericka Hernandez of San Antonio, David De La Garza (Jennifer) of Del Valle and Daniel De La Garza (Margaret) of La Junta, Colorado; and her siblings, Tomasa "Tommie" Martinez of Kenedy, Janie Vigil of Amarillo, Tina Longoria of San Antonio, Emma Ojeda of Lockhart, Matilde Longoria of Amarillo and Simon Longoria of Seabrook. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, church service and graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend.
