She was predeceased by: her father Julius William; her significant other Alexander A. "Buddy" Kotzebue; her sons, Doug, Dwayne and David Kotzebue; and her siblings, Agnes Zissa and Daniel Zissa.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Connell (Robbie) of Gonzales; her sister Benita Roller (Joe) of Shiner; and her grandchildren, Kristen Connell DeCola, Zackery, Chase, Cassidy and Caleigh Kotzebue. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. James Catholic Church.
