With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Cain in Gonzales, Texas, born in Victoria, Texas, who passed away on April 27, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Cain to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Cain and Ottie Mae Cain; his siblings-in-law, Connie Riley, Russell Riley, Daniel Dolezal, Clarence Dunn and Donald Broussard; and his cousin Ronnie Kimball.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Blundell Cain of Gonzales; his daughters, Courtney Theriot (Charles) of Spring and Kristin Matias (David) of Gonzales; his granddaughters, Taylor, Tatum Theriot, Tenley and Tessa Matias; his parents-in-law, Juanita and Bill Blundell of Gonzales; his sister-in-law Phyllis Snoga (Glenn) of Seguin; and his siblings, Zilpha Dolezal of Gonzales, Wanda Sue Broussard of Hallettsville, Sandra Wehmeyer (Dennis) of Groves, Billie Dunn of Gonzales, Charles McFarland (Cindy) of Katy and Debra Kay Huntington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Seydler-Hill Funeral Home will continue to require all attendants to take protective measures regarding social distancing, usage of hand sanitizers and wearing personal protective masks for the visitation, chapel service and the graveside burial rite. Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend.

Memorials may be made to the Harwood Cemetery Association, Alzheimer's Association, or the First United Methodist Church.
