It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aurora Santillano of Gonzales, Texas, born in Waelder, Texas, who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Ibarra and Margarita Banda Ibarra; and her siblings, Socorro Capetillo, Maria VillaLobos and Alfred Ibarra.
She is survived by: her husband Cruz Santillano of Gonzales; her sons, Jesse Garza (Rachel) of La Vernia and John Garza (Anna) of San Antonio; her siblings, Elisa Garza of San Antonio and Pedro Ybarro, Jr. (Carmen) of Houston; and her grandchildren, Anthony Garza, Jesse Garza, Michael Garza, LeaAnn Silva, Rhonda Carranza, Elizabeth Sanchez and Gabriel Garza. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
