He was predeceased by: his parents, Cesario Salas and Patrocina H. Salas; his wife Aurelia B. Salas; his son Jose Luis Salas; and his siblings, Juanita Escobedo, Manuel, Cesario, Gabriel and Emilio Salas.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Venessa Renee Salas; his children, Maria Jimenez (Danny), Robert Salas, Leonisio Salas, Jr. (Belkis), Alejandro Salas, Norma Salas (Paul) and Rachel Perez (Albert); and his brother Adan Salas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
