It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Byrd of Goliad, Texas, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Opiela and Albina Opiela; her grandson Gregory Nathaniel Byrd; and her siblings, Helen West, Lillan Martin, Virgil and Frankie Opiela.
She is survived by: her sons, William and Winston Byrd (Jessica); her grandchildren, Brennan (Aujdi), Kaylynne (Santi) and Lyndon Byrd; and her siblings, Bernice Syring (Butch), Irene Elliot, Shirley Bartkoviak (Nathan) and Tommy Opiela. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
