He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Alaniz Sr. and Elodia Alaniz; his siblings, Daniel and Brenda Alaniz; his wife Robin Hamilton; his children, Christina Benavidez (Ronnie), Nicolas Alaniz (Veronica) and Gabriel Alaniz; his siblings, Glenda Alaniz, Linda Torrez (Rick) and Rick Alaniz (Ceci); his grandchildren, Adam Benavidez (Angelica), Ethan Benavidez, Cash Benavidez and Mia Alaniz; and his great grandchildren, Gracelyn Benavidez and Roman Benavidez. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as countless friends.
Ernest will be remembered as a hard-working, goal-oriented family man whose sound moral values set into motion a life of activism, service to his community, and to charity.
