It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shay Roy Smith of Goldsboro, Texas, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Claud, Madeline Smith of Goldsboro, Bill and Betty Hafner (Little) of Tuscola; and his nephew Hunter Chase Pendergraft.
He is survived by: his parents, Oscar Royce (Fritzi) of Goldsboro and Sherry Dee Smith (Hafner) of Goldsboro, Texas.; his sister Monique Sadler (Cody) of Ovalo; his children, Christopher Shay Smith (Tiffany) of Hawley, Amberly Fry (Jordan) of Abilene, Austin Zane Vanderpelt of Coleman and Farryn Smith of Novice; his nephew Eddie Shay Moore; and his niece Sherry Kaytline Morris. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
