It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lamar Guthrie of Godley, Texas, who passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Thomas Guthrie and Minnie Elizabeth McNeil Guthrie; his wife Carrie Alice Alford Guthrie; his daughters, Brenda Guthrie Bibb (Clay), Sherry Guthrie Jones (Burt) and Marla Guthrie Bratton (James); his grandchildren, Chantelle Blanks Hurt (Rusty), Sean Blanks, Chad Jones, Mallory Slattery (Jesse) and Kelvin Bratton; his great grandchildren, Avery and Jensen Slattery; and his brother Bobby Guthrie (Ann). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
