It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Matthews (Godley, Texas), who passed away on December 21, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Matthews and Lula Matthews (Summers); his son Jason Matthews; and his siblings, Irwin, Albert, Loy, Mamie, Bell, Lonene, Allene and Imogene.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Matthews of Godley; his grandchildren, Bobby Matthews of Godley, Steven Matthews, Heather of Cleburne, Kendall Nabours and Justin of Glen Rose; and his great grandchildren, Ryder Nabours, Abi Matthews, Kyle Matthews, Hunter Nabours and Lincoln Matthews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
