Ward of Norfolk and Gussie Townsend Ward of Chicago, Illinois; and his children, Shirley A. Andrews of Colton, California, Van L. Ward, Sr. of Virginia, Richard J. Ward (Vanessa Ward) of Hampton, Emmanuel M. Ward of Chicago, Randy D. Ward of Norfolk, Vincent C. Murphy, Sr. of Mesquite and Arturo S. Ward, Sr. (Michele Ward) of Glenn Heights, Texas. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
