He is survived by: his children, DeWayne Hankins and Christina Hankins Mize; his grandchildren, Michael Hankins, Diana Hankins, Audey Hankins, Ashley Hankins, Tommy Douglas and Mandy Slaton; and his brothers, Roy Hankins and Donnal Hankins. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
