He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Capps and Josephine Capps; and his siblings, Ava Nell Martin and Darmon Dale Capps. He is survived by: his son Brad Capps (Vanessa); his grandchildren, Brooklyn Dale Green (Ryan) and Sterling Lee Capps; his great grandchildren, Maddie Lee Capps and Rae-Leigh Ann Capps; and his sisters, Joyce Marie Rudolph (Jim) and Glenda Gale Edens. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
