He was predeceased by: his parents, Claud W. Smith and Merl Dupree Smith; his siblings, Delbert Smith, Ima May Smith Tonn (Derwood Tonn) and Verna Dean Smith Underwood (Milton Underwood); his daughter Shawn Leslie Smith; his son-in-law Tony Douglas; and his nephew Jeff Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie Broadway-Smith; his daughters, Skye Burleson (Phillip), Bennie Douglas, Bettie Gowin (Robert) and Alicia Smith; his grandchildren, Trista Burleson, Parker Burleson, Clint Douglas (Erin), Cassie Roberts and Carrie Martin (Jason); his great grandchildren, Alexis Douglas, James Davila, Cole Evert, Marcus Davila, Mason Evert, Olivia Davila, Avyn Douglas and Ethan Albrecht; his sister-in-law Merna Smith; and his nieces and nephews, Stanley Underwood (Judy), Eddie Smith, Gary Tonn, Ricky Tonn, Tim Tonn and Terri Tonn. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
