He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Lawson Sr. and Bonnie Stepp. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Lawson; his children, Ashley Lawson Granville of Virginia and Megan Lawson Egnew of Virginia; his stepchildren, Chasity Shipman of Glen Rose, Nathan Shuemake of Glen Rose and Lacey Shuemake of Glen Rose; his sister Patrica Power of Georgia; and his niece Cassie Beck Corona of Georgia. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
