She was predeceased by: her sister Judy Wilkerson Hamilton. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Blanton "J. B."; her children, Julia (Philip Brown), Melany (Bobby Bramlett), Marvin, Tolbert Gilliam, Lisa (James Robertson) and Robert Gilliam; her siblings, Ollie "Biggie" Wilkerson, Lester Wilkerson, Linda Wilkerson Allen Gilbert, Jerry Don Wilkerson, Tommie Wilkerson and Bonnie Wilkerson Bingle; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Gilliam. She is also survived by friends and family.
