It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Smyth of Glen Rose, Texas, born in Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Childress and Birdye Childress; and her husband Bradley Smyth. She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn (Lee Ellis); her granddaughter Sarah (Hunter Williams); and her sister Nancy (Mack Nichols). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann was a member of the Somervell Historical Foundation and helped in the restoration of the Barnard Mill.
