He is survived by: his sister Connie Townsend Rowe; his children, Robert Townsend, Christine Ousset (Joe Ousset) and Ray Townsend (Cookie Townsend); his nieces, Anita Lamb and Tangee; his nephew Eddie Neely; his wife Bonnie Berryhill Townsend; and his son Harvey Yvan Townsend Jr.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
