He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Joseph and Lucy Ione McKnight; his brother Cody; his siblings-in-law, Helen Houston and Bill Haire (Joy Dale Pritchett); and his daughter-in-law Melinda Edwards McKnight.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Dale; his children, Terry McKnight (Melanie McKnight), Teresa Ludovice (Steve Ludovice) and Tracy McKnight (Daphne Casses) of Gladewater; his sister Ikey Haire; his nephew Kenneth Dykes; his niece Dana (Craig Parr); and his great-nephew Hudson.
