He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Adron Dunnavant and Roxie Allie Hodge Duncan; his spouse Johnette Thornton Dunnavant; the mother of his children Johnette Thornton Dunnavant; his brother Lee Roy Dunnavant; and his half-brothers, Arthur Dunnavant and James Dunnavant.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Jackson, Daniel Dunnavant and Patricia Arden (David); and his grandchildren, Christopher Arden, Megan Sanchez, Justin Arden, Evan Jackson, Carmen Rodriguez and John Dunnavant. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
