He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ray and Ruth Ray (White); his former wife Dorothy Ray (Alexander); and his son Garry Ray. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ray (Gaston) of Gilmer; his children, Darrell Ray (Zina) of Gilmer and Barbara Ray of Longview; his brother Glenn Dale "Buck" Ray of Gilmer; and his stepdaughter Natalie Pitt (Ty). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
