He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert McCluskey; his wife Carolyn Flanagan McCluskey; his mother Clara Ella McCluskey; his sisters, Martha Hamilton, Rose Gipson, Maxine Jackson and Joyce Huey; and his son-in-law John Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Ballard of Gilmer and Bill; his daughter-in-law Angie McCluskey of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Anna Ballard, Sarah Ballard, Dee McCluskey and Buddy McCluskey; and his great grandchildren, Hannah, James and Faith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
