With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Violet Elizabeth Davis of Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on December 19, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eunice William and Cora Ellen Nichols Cates; her husband Royce Gene Davis; and her siblings, Ruby Pearl Dunn, Eathel Mitchell, Bill Lowrey and Ferrel Gene Cates.
She is survived by: her children, Susan McCool (Al) and Bradley Davis (Ruth); her grandchildren, Jennifer Wheeler (Brady), Seth McCool, Brooklin Davis, Crystal Pruitt and Jason Maroney (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, Emilyn Wheeler, Meredith Wheeler, Kase Davis, Cohen McCool, Angelina Pruitt, Alexandria Danielson, Ashlyn Maroney and Addison Maroney; and her close friends, Clara Ritter and Della Jo Pickett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
