He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Sylvan and Hazel Ruth Allen (Hendrix); and his son Rodney Leon Allen. He is survived by: his wife Doris Allen; his children, Richard Allen, Roxanne (Michael O'Connor) and Robby (Cheryl Allen); his sister Margie (Terry Biggerstaff); his grandchildren, Tony Allen, Clint (Madi Allen), Holly (Spencer Brewer), Cavin Taylor, Cheyanne Burck, Shelby O'Connor, Kaley (Denton Jackson), Ashley (Skyler Hefley), Amy Allen and Alisha Allen (Richard Walker); his great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Railynn, Barrett, Wyatt, Rhett, Harper, Shiloh and Abigail; his grandson Travis Coe; and his caregiver Jessica of PrimeCare Hospice. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
