He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Marion Skipper and Corine Metcalf Skipper; and his daughter Shayne McDonald. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Afzal (Taslim) of Gilmer, Beth Skipper of Gilmer, Kaya Skipper of Gilmer and Dakota Skipper of Gilmer; his sister Norma Jones (Ruben) of Gilmer; and his grandchildren, Shayna McElwee, Joshua Plunkett, Jesse Gibson, Patrick Healy, Jeremy Healy, Angela Sanford, Brittany Fisher and Tabetha Hampton. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
