She was predeceased by: her parents, Zenas Franklin and Lula Nadine Hill Vernor; her husband Gilliam; and her brother Billy Vernor. She is survived by: her children, Norman Paul Johnson (Tena), Kenneth Johnson, Teresa Applegate (Larry) and Lindsi Johnson; and her sisters, Joyce Reed (Roy) and Mary Lue (Pete). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
