He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Stroud and Evelyn Stroud (Colvin); and his siblings, Carolyn Simons, Susan Stroud and Ralph Stroud.
He is survived by: his children, Heidi Barton of Mount Vernon and Luke Stroud (Jessica) of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Corbin May, Cohen Barton, Nora and Knox Stroud; his siblings, Charity (Andy Cochran), James Stroud of Mississippi, Melinda Barber of Mississippi and Tommy (Sherine Stroud); the mother of his children Gayle Peacock; and his sister-in-law Carol Stroud. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
