He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Sanders and Maxine Childress Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sanders; his children, Christine Hooley (Danny), Eddie Wayne Sanders, Lisa Marie Powell (Michael), Brian Keith Sanders (Shelly) and Kimberly Renee Timm (John); and his grandchildren, Stevie, Lelani, Brandon, Angeline, Kayla, LaSaundra, Shelby, Logan, Clay, Cole and Sarayu. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
