He was predeceased by: his parents, Obie Varner and Lula Varner (Lansdale); and his brothers, Gaylynn and Charles W. Varner. He is survived by: his wife Nell Varner; his children, Jimmie Varner of Pritchett, Charles Varner (Kathy) of Bettie, Billy Varner of Gilmer and Vayden Gibson (Kevin) of Gilmer; his brother A. D. Varner of Bettie; and his grandchildren, Courtney, Heather Varner, Sara Fletcher, Keala, Caitlyn, Kevin, Jr. and Gibson. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
