He was predeceased by: his parents, James Blackstone and Minnie Dee Murphy Blackstone; his son Jeffery Blackstone; and his siblings, Max Blackstone and Gay Nell Blackstone Lambert.

He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Blackstone Bearden (Tim) of Big Sandy; his grandchildren, Haley McAfee (DJ) of Big Sandy, Easton Blackstone (Hunter) of Big Sandy, Brock Blackstone of Big Sandy, Emma Blackstone of Big Sandy and Baylor Bearden of Big Sandy; his great grandchildren, Kyler McAfee of Big Sandy, Whitlee Blackstone of Big Sandy, Willow Blackstone of Big Sandy, Brylee McAfee of Big Sandy and Kholson Blackstone of Big Sandy; his former wife Linda Blackstone Stewart; and his sisters, Joy Marsh of Hallsville and Flo Green of Gilmer.
