It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Othell Laferney of Gilmer, Texas, born in Gregg, Texas, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther LaFerney and Ethel Nowlan LaFerney; his former wife Zeda Fern LaFerney; his daughter Sonya Nolan; and his siblings, Darlene, Eva Nell, Ouita, Ima Jean, Letha, Bonnie, Junior and Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Wilson LaFerney; his children, Denise LaFerney Weaver (Keith) of Gilmer, Tammy LaFerney Harden (Tommy) of Tyler and Kevin LaFerney of Amarillo; and his grandchildren, Michael Golden, Ashley Golden, Trista Harden Garner, Taylor Harden Creedon, Stephen Nolan, Kristen Nolan, Kamylle LaFerney Amburgey, Kelsey LaFerney Crain, Cheyenne LaFerney and Cassie LaFerney. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
