He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Montgomery and Marie Monroe Montgomery; his former wife Jean Efurd Montgomery; his wife Dot Allen Montgomery; and his siblings, Howard, Troy, Kenneth Montgomery, Carolyn Chandler and Becky Mayfield.
He is survived by: his sons, Chuck Montgomery (Jackie) of Gilmer, Tom Allen of Ore City and John Allen (Lana) of Ore City; his siblings, Ronnie Montgomery of Gilmer, Helen Decuir (C. T.) of Louisville, Peggy Arnold of Gilmer and Shirley Hunt (Lynn) of Gilmer; his grandchildren, Pake Douglas Montgomery and Tori Nicole Montgomery; and his great grandchildren, Madalyn Montgomery, Harmony Montgomery and Silas Redmond.
