Myrtis Ann Stephens Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtis Ann Stephens (Gilmer, Texas), who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia May Schultz (Acker) and S. M. Schultz; her grandmother Acker; her siblings, Earl Schultz, Janice Deel, Brenda Maynard and Janie Payton; her son Clinton Ray Stephens; and her grandson Clinton Joshua Stephens.
She is survived by: her husband Doyal Ray Stephens; her children, Keith Stephens (Rhonda), Randy Stephens (Prissy) and Kim Berger (Leo); and her grandchildren, Hannah Stephens, Shannon Dutton (Lucas), Tiffany Barber (Raymond), Steffany Jewell (Seth), Sara Allen (Chase), Lana Yarbrough (Eric), Lara Armas (Ephraim), Ryan Berger and Kirk Berger. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
